Open letter to the global vaping community from Dr B’

…”We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community… Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own” – Cesar Chavez

These are exciting and prosperous times for the global vaping community. In close to ten years, the industry has evolved to become a multi faceted and exotic beast. However, the journey to securing mainstream social acceptance and security for the industry is fraught with danger. Will 2015 see the heavy regulation that so many are fearful of? Will a totalitarian tax hike on e-cigarettes and their peripherals see them unduly face the same treatment as tobacco. Will some sections of the media continue to misrepresent vaping and persevere with the level of false reporting that would drive even the most liberal to revolution?

These are all issues where their resolutions are intrinsically linked to the continued success and evolution of the global vaping community. Of paramount importance I’m sure we can agree. Whilst we are in agreement, there is, unfortunately, one contention that continues to yield no consensus…VAPE DRAMA in all of it’s many guises. For instance, whilst I am sure a number of disputes between reviewers have their moral importance and hierarchy, they pale in significance to the battles that lie ahead.

So when you take a step back and examine what really matters, what is our conclusion? COMMUNITY, a word that alone is a paradox of itself. We must ensure that our own house is in order before we can even begin to hope of guaranteeing a fruitful future. “Winter Is Coming” – we must come in from the cold.
