What they say

“With a clean look, the simplistic design of the Royal Hunter packs a whole lot of cloud creation from a larger than life atomizer. Culture burned from the bottoms of the earth created the finish that you see on the Royal Hunter. Don’t let the beauty in its design disguise the potential it contains. With its high flow wide bore drip tip, its unlike any other drip tip you’ve seen. Created for the experienced vapor, coil build options are endless. Larger terminating posts will indulge in larger wires and more cotton for less dripping”

The Bad

  • Grub screws are pretty damn small
Right then, let’s get this out-of-the-way, straight away…The Royal Hunter is a flawed masterpiece! There we said it, it has issues (don’t we all) but said issues aren’t enough to deter us from luvin’ every svelte inch of this handsome lil’ fella. Yes the drip tip is not entirely Delrin, yes it does get a tad hot if you cane vape it, and yes you can’t drip through the top (honeycomb prevents it) but generally speaking the Hunter’ holds its own and out performs many a high-end dripper at a snip of the price. Immaculately machined and aesthetically appealing, props’ are deserved for just how premium quality it feels for such a relatively modest price point.

The Hunter’s most impressive achievement is the quite staggering level of flavour it produces. Wide open or closed off, the flavour remains on point with only a minor drop off when you increase the airflow on the ‘volume’ styled, staggered design. Talking design, the simple yet ingenious honeycomb drip tip base prevents against spitback admirably well, with a slight trade-off in vapour production. The deck with its split positive post is conventional in both size and ease of use for a 22mm RDA with a generously deep juice well to boot. When all is said and done, The Royal Hunter doesn’t disappoint and is towering testament to a high standard of manufacturing rarely seen at such an affordable asking price…hunt one down indeed!
